The Conflict Beautiful, Sanctuary Cover

The Conflict Beautiful is an heirloom-quality edition of Ellen G. White’s classic Conflict of the Ages series. Created by Types & Symbols, the project had the goal of make books that are a joy to read and match the beauty of the words inside.

For those not familiar with these books, the Conflict of the Ages is a five-volume narrative Bible commentary spanning the history of the world from creation to the future restoration. Originally written and published around the turn of the 20th century, The Conflict of the Ages reveals Christ’s character of love throughout the biblical story. In fact, the first three words of the first book, and the last three words of the last book are, “God is love.”.

NKJV Bible Passages – The Conflict Beautiful is the only edition to use NKJV throughout all five books. The editorial process was led by Tim Lale, and had the goal of preserving the integrity of Ellen White’s original ideas at all levels, from the chapter down to the individual words.

Heirloom Quality – The Conflict Beautiful was printed by Kösel in Germany—a manufacturer that has been making beautiful books for over 400 years. The pages are sewn in, and the books lay flat for a more enjoyable reading experience. Kösel’s expertise and attention to detail is apparent as soon as you hold one of these books in your hands.

Updated Words – Strict guidelines were used to make select changes to individual words that were deemed archaic and whose meaning has changed since the nineteenth century (e.g. “intercourse” was changed to “interaction”).
